To be clear, this is not an excellent star hotel, but it deserves a star rating for the price or fee it offers. The location is central. There are plenty of shopping and dining options around the site. The staff were very pleasant, although more knowledge of bus routes would be helpful given the number of out-of-towners staying here. I chose a double room with no window, I really just slept in it instead of spending time in the room. It was very clean, nice white bedding. The double bed takes up the entire room bar, entry area, but it's definitely not a problem as I don't need more space. There is toilet and shower wet room, TV, mirror, hanging area (not a full wardrobe but it's definitely what I need). I appreciate the interesting extras that the compact space clearly allows for, such as under-bed luggage storage, free Wi-Fi, sockets and light switches by the bed, room cleaning and bed linen changes are only on request and for an additional fee, Rather than being included in the cost of three rooms, which really wasn't necessary or environmentally conscious since I only had two nights. I will definitely use this service again. I paid £25 a night to book through booking.com and it was very good for a central location.

Our trip to Glasgow was just for a concert at the SSE Hydro Arena so we booked our accommodation based on the event. I found the Campanile Hotel online to be one of the closest hotels to the arena and the price was good compared to others which was the main selling point. I read reviews saying it was a "no frills" hotel, which was fine with me since we weren't going to be staying in a hotel other than to sleep and have breakfast. When I arrived I knew we wouldn't be able to check in until three, but we knew there was a sitting area to hang out until our room was ready. The bar doesn't open until 2:30 which is a bit annoying and there isn't a nice place to relax but luckily the guy at the desk told us that the room might be available earlier if cleaning was done so it worked out we were in Got into our room at 1:30 which was fine! Unfortunately, I noticed a group of girls trying to check in at 1:30am after being told online that they could pay an early checkout fee, only to arrive to find that there was no such thing. Our room was basic but perfect for the space we needed. Could have been cleaner, but again, I wasn't expecting much when I booked. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows. It was a surprisingly restful sleep after the event, considering we had booked the hotel based on the concert. We knew there might be other noisy guests, but by midnight the hotel was quiet and I slept well. We only ate breakfast. Breakfast was very basic, again, no frills, but offered all the usual hot buffet style options and some cereal/pastry. The hotel was happy to book a taxi for us back to the airport which was very helpful. Continuing with my personal experience, our trip to Glasgow and our stay at the Clock Tower was good, couldn't have been better, but I'm well aware that other travelers didn't have the same experience and some had problems checking in. The location couldn't be better for an event at SSE so I would recommend based on location, but everything else I would rate as average at best.

I've stayed here a few times before due to it's location and reasonable price and this time I was disappointed. I booked this hotel because for some reason all hotels in Glasgow were insanely expensive that weekend. I expect to pay >£100 for a hotel that is £150/£180. The jury's was £111. The reception staff are welcoming and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were assigned (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious and since it was an available room, it wasn't what we asked for, so maybe why it was cheaper than the other rooms. The above two points didn't really bother us as it was just a place to sleep while we were at a concert. Unfortunately we didn't sleep well. The windows are not adequately soundproofed from the street noise outside, the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors talking, plugging and unplugging appliances - all things that you shouldn't be doing here that aren't too quiet. Our room had a humming noise from the opening in the room which kept us asleep until 10am. 7.30...then the neighbors start getting ready to check out. We never complained at night as we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were falling asleep it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated and for that reason I don't think I would choose to stay here again.

We were a large group and saw 3 different rooms, all with different layouts. Most have deep full baths. If people have mobility issues, be sure to ask for a walk in the shower. No refrigerator or laundry room. It's connected to the train station so you can shop without getting in your way. Very unique and fun slot machine. The bar is expensive but has a great view of the train station.

This is a very convenient hotel if you have an early flight from Glasgow Airport. The rooms are spacious and clean. Room facilities are very good for short stay. The continental breakfast served at 4 was a great bonus.

I wouldn't say I complain about everything, but recently in the UK I've been a perennial "grumpy old man" when it comes to hospitality. I'm also not a big fan of cheap hotel brands, and I'm rarely right in this type of review (this may be the first time). But I stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express in Hamilton and I was blown away. Customer service at all levels is excellent, sometimes you get a great staff member but from check in to breakfast and simple questions they go the extra mile. The reception staff greeted me with big smiles and a warm welcome, my room was clean, the service was good and the reception was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express, but well done and well presented. But that didn't solve the problem, I have a few niggles, just where can I print documents, have a cup of tea and find a gift for my partner (I forgot her easter eggs). None of this was too much trouble and everything was sorted out quickly. I spend about 200 nights a year in hotels and colleagues spend far more, I will only be using IHG from now on and recommend we all do the same. Thanks to all the staff there.

It must belong to the host family. The George Square in the station shopping street is far away and not very convenient, but it includes breakfast, which is very considerate. There is also a park nearby. its close to the university of glasgow

The service is very friendly. The Hollywood Barbecue restaurant opposite the hotel heard that it will not open until the 20th. We walked for ten minutes and found the Chinese restaurant Red Pepper, and we were not disappointed. 😄

The appearance of the hotel is dilapidated, there is a multi-storey parking lot for free parking, the room is as small as shown on the official website, the bed and the room are clean, the toilet and the bathroom are separated, the shower gel is not replenished when you check in, it is obvious that the staff in the room did not check carefully, You have to go to the front desk to borrow a fan by yourself. I stayed for two nights in a row. I ordered breakfast for someone on the first day. I didn't order breakfast on the second day. There was no place to go. There were too many people and there was nothing to eat. I was a little disappointed. The sound insulation is average, the sound of opening and closing the door and the sound of seagulls outside the window can be heard. It will be more convenient if you live in the city center next time, not suitable for family outings.

Lovely and comfortable hotel with very welcoming staff. We stayed there for one night and booked 2 rooms overlooking the track. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We love the brand's hand sanitizer and body lotion. We also enjoyed the breakfast and morning food selection. We will definitely book to stay here again.
